CLEHMPA has successfully implemented continuing legal education requirements since 1995. HMPA's CLE criteria mandates 8 hours of CLE per year for Voting Members and has recently increased the CLE criteria for PHP members from 8 hours to 10 hours per year effective January 1, 1999.

CLE Luncheons are scheduled on the 2nd Tuesday of every month and cover a wide variety of substantive legal topics. The CLE Committee also schedules 1/2 day and full day seminars throughout the year.  These seminars encompass a wide range of specialized pratice areas and topics such as Business & Regulatory, Ethics, Oil & Gas, Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Texas Rules of Evidence, and Trial Preparation and Assistance at Trial.
